Four moving parts, deliberately few.
Upload over HTTPS or point us at a URL in your own storage. Files are checked, hashed and queued. Nothing is transcoded twice; a re-upload of an identical master is recognised and skipped.
The packager reads the source and decides the ladder from what is actually there. A 720p screen recording does not get a fabricated 4K rung. Output is standards-plain HLS — no proprietary container, no player lock-in.
Packaged segments are published to the delivery network. Requests land on the nearest healthy region; a region that starts failing is drained rather than retried into. See Delivery for the exact path layout.
Per-asset quality of experience, sampled from the player rather than inferred from server logs: startup time, stall ratio, average bitrate, and where the viewers were.
